  • Kelly Jones


    Kelly has over 20 years of experience in banking, private investment and asset management. He began his career at Ernst & Young and was the past CFO of Beal Bank, an $8 billion Texas savings bank. Kelly later founded Stampede Capital to purchase an industrial loan company in Nevada and grew its asset base to $300 million by acquiring and investing in middle market loans. Earlier, he co-founded SunTech Processing, a national leader in transaction processing and payment technologies. During the Texas banking crisis, he managed over 5,000 non-performing loans, nearly $9 billion in special assets, for the Resolution Trust Corporation.

  • Andrei Perumal


    Along with Stephen Wilson, Andrei co-founded Wilson Perumal & Company, a global management consulting firm. He has extensive experience in energy, manufacturing, and financial services. Andrei began his career in the US Navy’s Nuclear Power Program. Following the Navy, Andrei worked at Beal Aerospace Technologies—a private rocket venture under Texas billionaire Andy Beal—where he oversaw the successful design, construction and operation of a propellant grade hydrogen peroxide concentration plant. Andrei spent several years as a consultant with Bain & Company before being recruited back by Andy Beal to be Director of Strategic Operations for Beal Bank, one of the most profitable banks in the nation. Andrei later joined George Group Consulting to help build George Group’s Operations Strategy practice. Andrei was named Partner by Accenture upon its acquisition of George Group in 2007.

    Andrei graduated in engineering from MIT and is co-author of the book Waging War on Complexity Costs (McGraw-Hill).

  • Stephen Wilson


    Stephen is Managing Partner and co-founder of management consultancy Wilson Perumal & Company. He works with senior leadership teams in businesses and private equity firms in North America and Europe, advising them on critical strategy, operations and innovation questions. Stephen has 20 years of experience working across industry, but in particular supports clients in Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods & Retail. He has written extensively on the topics of growth strategy, cost-competitiveness, organizational development and on the issue of how to compete in today’s complex world.  He is co-author of Waging War on Complexity Costs (2009), and Conquering Complexity in your Business (2004), both published by McGraw-Hill.  Previously, Stephen was a Principal with George Group Consulting, and was named Partner by Accenture upon its acquisition of George Group.

    He holds an MBA from The Wharton School in Finance and Strategic Management.

  • Scott Stallbaum


    As a consultant with Wilson Perumal & Company, Scott has helped companies in the financial services, oil & gas, food & beverage, and industrial products industries. Prior to joining Wilson Perumal & Company Scott held several roles with AGA Medical Corporation, including Manager of Special Projects (reporting to the CEO), Manager of Operations Strategy & Planning, and Senior Production Manager, where he was responsible for all of the company’s production. Prior to AGA, Scott spent six years with the Ford Motor Company. He completed the Ford College Graduate rotational development program and then went on to be a New Model Launch Program Manager, where he coordinated all aspects of new vehicle launches from prototype build to assembly plant launch.

    Scott has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University.

  • Ernie Spence


    Ernie has extensive experience in significant leadership roles and has received numerous awards for implementing transformational, organization-wide change. A proven strategic leader, he has a background that spans engineering, analytics, organizational development, leadership, and coaching for success. He has the ability to assess management teams for both strengths and areas needing improvement, and develop realistic plans to guide their improvement. Ernie served in the US Navy for 22 years as a fighter pilot and test pilot. He commanded and successfully turned around multiple F/A-18 squadrons, including the largest and most broken squadron in the Navy, where he was responsible for leading a diverse workforce of 1300 employees and 117 aircraft to train 60% of the Navy’s fighter aircrew. In this role he reduced Operations & Maintenance costs by 36% in just one year while simultaneously restoring to service over $3.6 billion worth of high-performance aircraft and increasing pilot training production by 44%.

    Ernie holds an MS Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, an MS National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University Eisenhower School, a BS Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, and is a graduate of the prestigious US Naval Test Pilot School.

  • Thomas Hamnett


    Tom has over a decade of experience advising a range of international banks, ‘Blue Chips’ and Governments departments. He specializes in strategy and due diligence, operational and economic analysis, and financial modeling. Tom worked in Investment Appraisal for Atkins Global and the Strategy and Decision Science practice of PA Consulting. He spent an extended period supporting the CFO and COO of a global financial data management provider, as well as an in-house delivery role at a global retail bank. He developed the Saudi Arabian Government’s rolling stock investment strategy and forecasted sector-skills shortages in support of the UK’s high-profile Nuclear New Build programme. He has advised on investments for The Olympic Legacy Committee, various UK Central Government departments as well as numerous heavy industrial companies, energy companies and investors.

    Tom is UK based, an Oxford University graduate and won the prize for best performance when finishing top of his MBA cohort at Imperial College Business School.

  • Madison Gardner


    Madison brings experience in private equity and financial advisory services in a variety of industries including oil & gas, real estate, technology, retail, and food & beverage.  He is responsible for business development, financial analysis, deal execution, and investor relations. Previously, he was an associate at an energy private equity firm where he was responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, and investor relations.

    Madison received a dual-degree with a BBA in Finance and BA in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin.
